Liberty Mutual to Provide IRF Insureds Boiler Inspection Services Effective July 2023

     The South Carolina Insurance Reserve Fund (SCIRF) has completed a solicitation for Boiler & Machinery Reinsurance with Engineering and Inspections Services. In keeping with SC Code of Laws Title 41 Section 14 (Boiler Safety Acy) require inspections at 1-to-2-year intervals for boilers and pressure vessels.  These inspections services are provided for IRF insureds at no cost and will be completed by Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company beginning July 1, 2023.

   Please see the attached introduction letter with important contact information for scheduling inspections for any new boilers or pressure vessels. A list of Frequently Asked Questions is also attached.

IRF ask’s that you, please make any facilities staff aware of this change to facilitate a smooth transition during your next scheduled inspection.
